A fixture is basically a bulb holder, so choosing the correct bulb is very important. We highly suggest reading below for DETAILS of your bulb before buying any fixtures.

The 120v MR16 looks 100% identical to a 12v (LOW Voltage) MR16 bulb, yet it is a 120v (HIGH Voltage) bulb. When put into an MR16 socket, it will "convert" the 12v fixture to a 120v fixture. All that you would need to add to complete the 120v conversion is probably a ground wire and be sure to follow all 120v safety codes and procedures.

The advantage with the revolutionary breakthrough invention of this 120v MR16 is that it allowes you to be able to "convert" a fixture that was designed initially as a 12v MR16 fixture to 120v.

The disadvantages to this are:

1) The 120v MR16 Bulb is only available in 35 Watt Narrow Flood with a 38° or in a 50 Watt Narrow Flood with a 38° as opposed to 12v MR16 Bulb which is offered in many wattages and beam spreads.

2) The 120v MR16 Bulb is only available in Clear as opposed to the 12v MR16 Bulb which is available in Clear as well as a variety of colors.

3) The Life Span of a 120v MR16 Bulb is disappointingly shorter than the 12v version. The average life may vary from 600 hours to 2000 hours.
