Operating Features
| Mode 1: |
Standard Photocell Operation: When the switch on the faceplate is in the "on" position, the Smart Lighter will work in standard photocell controlled mode. This means that when the unit senses darkness, the Smart Lighter will automatically turn on, and when it senses light, the Smart Lighter will automatically turn off. |
| Mode 2: |
Manual Operation: We have been advised from consumer and contractor feedback that this method can be achieved by simply doing the following: First, the switch on the faceplate must be in the "on" position. Secondly, you will need to cover the photocell eye directly located to the right of the switch. Suggested ways to cover it are to use white-out or white electrical tape. If using electrical tape, simply cut a small circle the size of the photocell eye and tape it over the photocell eye. You can now control the Smart Lighter manually by the switch on the faceplate, or by connecting the Smart Lighter to a separate conventional wall switch and leaving the Smart Lighter switch in the "on" position. |
| Mode 3: |
Off Position: When the switch on the faceplate is in the "off" position, the Smart Lighter will completely not operate, either automatically or manually. |
