BULB ANSWERS
What is the difference between a Xenon and an Incandescent bulb?
Xenon is a Crisp Bright White Light whereas Incandescent has a more traditional warmer (yellowish light) output. Xenon is gas filled whereas Incandescent is filament only. Xenon also gives more light for the electricity used than Incandescent.

What is the difference between 12 Volt Bulbs and 24 Volt Bulbs?
By using 24 Volt, you will generally get more wattage out of each bulb. Lumens and Life Hours will also vary (see above chart). We cannot tell you which is most commonly used as both voltages are equally sold. |

OPTIONAL TRANSFORMER
To select a transformer, you will need to know a couple factors:
| BULB SPACING |
BULBS PER FOOT |
| 2" Bulb Spacing |
6 Bulbs per foot |
| 3" Bulb Spacing |
4 Bulbs per foot |
| 4" Bulb Spacing |
3 Bulbs per foot |
| 6" Bulb Spacing |
2 Bulbs per foot |
1) The voltage (12 Volt or 24 Volt)
2) The wattage of the bulbs you choose
3) The total bulbs (meaning the total bulbs on all task lights that will be connected to this transformer). The way to figure this out is simple: First, select your bulb spacing and use the chart on the right to figure out how many bulbs you will receive per foot. Then add up ALL bulbs and multiply that by the bulb's wattage (which is posted in the Bulb Chart above).
EXAMPLE: If you are ordering 12v, XE125 Bulbs with 4" bulb spacing, on two 48" sections, then your total length is 96" (8 feet). By the chart below, 4" bulb spacing tells you that you will receive 3 bulbs per foot, which equals 24 total bulbs for your 8 feet of task light. Lastly, 24 bulbs X 4.08 watts = 97.92 Total Watts for this entire project. Therefore, our 12 Volt 100 Watt Transformer would be your best option.
