Our exclusive WaterSlide™ is important because with the flat lens water will collect and cause calcium build up. Now add the 480° heat from the bulb and now you are basically "baking" in the water causing the calcium to become impossible to remove! This will significantly reduce your light output and increase the heat build up inside your fixture which will decrease your bulb and socket life. When you buy this light you will have less worries because the curved shape of our WaterSlide™ glass will help reduce this water/calcium build up by causing the water to "slide" off.
